Acacia / Robinia
Robinia, or pseudo acacia, is characterized by a proportionally high degree of hardness.
The wood is heavy and strong. Hardness values surpass those of oak.
Acacia is one of the small types of wood that have a hardness value of 1 and 2 according to DIN_EN 3350-2.
The core has a high resistance against insects and fungi. The tree is not demanding of care, grows in sunny and sheltered areas and prefers loose and air-rich soil.
Acacia has a wide range of uses: children’s playgrounds, garden furniture, road construction, water and coastal construction, etc.
